Teach Thought 30 Day Blogger Challenge- Day 2

TeachThought 30 Day Blogger Challenge- Day2

Next up on this blogging challenge is technology: Write about 1 piece of technology that you would like to incorporate this year. Ah, that is an easy one- not much reflecting needed there. I would like to infuse a little Padlet into my lessons! Since I am going to have Chromebooks at my disposal for a whole semester in my classes (I am so lucky!), I think it will be a great platform that students can use to collaborate as they learn.

Why Padlet? I know that there are lots of great collaborative tools out there, but I like the personalization that I can give to the Padlet area. I like to pretty my activities up, like to include relevant pictures or a thoughtful background as my language students chat about a theme, so this let's me be creative When everything is done and ready to go for the students, that Padlet activity looks pretty eye-catching! My activities can POP with PADLET!

  1. I LOVE Padlet! Consider using as an entrance/exit ticket - when you have students use (ie) Questions and/or Ah-Ha as the first line (name) and then in the body add their question or ah-ha. The beauty is as a teacher, you can go to settings and download as Excel. You can then sort and find out what students know and where they struggle. Great quick formative assessment!
